Stay away Warning warning: On 3/22/2012. Stay away Warning warning:

On 3/22/2012 I took my car in for a brake warning light that came on and off, they looked at the car and said the brakes need to be replaced and that the disc rotor needs to be replaced, and said the timmming belt needed to be replaced, or the engine would come apart.

I told them to turn the rotors, because they have never been to turned before, Dawn's reply is that the metal is to soft and they can't be turned.

This is a lexus that has 90,000 on it and is in great shape,so they replaced the disc rotors,and not the brake pads,you always replace the pads each brake job and for sure if you replace the rotors.

The check engine light, turned out to be a emissions warning,they replace the gas cap at 36.00 and replaced a hose clamp, and said that should fix the problem, sure enough it did for two days, the light came back on and we took the car back in and they charged me another $ 90.00 to run a smoke test, and it turns out as Dawn says that the o ring on the top of the fuel tank is leaking emissions and they woukld have to drop the drive train and the fuel tank and it would cost around 1000 dollars to repair.I ask her today the 6th of April, what if that does not solve the problem then she said that they would have to go back in and do another smoke test and more money, come on man $ 90.00 each time they do a smoke test then more repairs ?Dawn uses scare tactics to move people to repair their cars that don't need the work they do.

I can assure you please stay away from this shop, it is a crooked run shop and they will take your money, and if you question Dawn she get's real defensive she know's everything and talks real fast and is real slick, or she thinks she is. My first bill was $ 1539.76 and the bill today was $ 90.00 it will be the last bill I will ever get from this shop.

I should have looked at the bill a little closer, but I didn't because I trusted them, don't make my mistake.

Just don't go there.

I haven't even started on my campaign to let people know about this so called family owned business, look at the reviews.

Moon Valley's Best mechanic's GREAT SERVICE. Just like all car owners my car broke down. I know a bit about cars but couldn't figure it out. A friend referred me to M.V.M.C.. They where able to find and fix the problem and also let me know that I also had a couple of others problems that needed to be fixed soon and thats what I LOVE. I prefer to spend a little now and not pay a lot later along with not having my car brake down in this summer heat with my family in it. Talking and listening to them, this family definitely has great knowledge and experience with all vehicles.

Girl, Dawn behind the desk is owners daughter and service writer. She is so great with her knowledge of cars-kinda reminds me of Marissa Tomei from My Cousin Vinny! ha ha. Explains EVERYTHING so clearly, even repairs for future to prevent future breakdowns. Mechanics are friendly and accessible. They keep and show you your old parts too. Saved me $$$$$ a ton of money. Have been trusted in moon valley neighborhood for almost 20 years! And they even offer towing too. check out website!

Stay away from this shop!. I would suggest to stay away from this shop. Their estimates are a lot more than what other shops had quoted. When I asked to review the estimate they got really short with me. I knew something was fishy when they told me it would be an additional $70 for the coolant. I don't trust this shop and it was clear that customer service is not a priority.

Good family run business. I've been taking my cars here for about 7 years. I've always been treated fairly, and they've done good work. On the very few instances where mistakes have been made, they've been quick to make it right. This is a family run business, and they get to know their regulars.

Please stay away!!!. Not a business you want to take your vehicle to! Watch out for the upsale, overpriced, may take short cuts, questionable work, and they will not take responsiblity for their actions. I had to take my car to another shop to get it fixed correctly!

Do you want to be cheaded and insulted?. The staff is rude. Pressure to get unnecessary repairs. Insult customers who question their estimate, or do not want to have all the recommended service done. Put the most expensive jobs first and make custumers with smaller repairs wait longer. Send customers who had made an appointment away saying that they are busy. Do not meet the schedule. I will never go there again.
