I just called to make an appointment with my very Favorite Hair Dresser of all time. Ive been out of work for ages and havent been able to afford to see her, but I FINALLY have the money so I call to book a hair cut only. Imagine my surprise when I was told I had to supply a credit card number to hold my appointment...... WHAT? This is not a hotel, or a cruise, its a hair cut. Im highly dissappointed and will NEVER spend another dime there again.

Great Salon - Lila is the BEST!. Lila has been doing my hair since 2002! Every time she does my hair it's a work of art. My highlights and style are always perfect. I continually get compliments wherever I go. I am a lifetime client. I love the products - they keep my hair healthy and shiny. Lila is very knowledgeable and professional !

Lauren's Brazilian. I was on vacation and found this salon by my resort in Central Phoenix. Admittedly, I took a chance not being from the area but reviews of the salon seemed alright. Yes the receptionist glared at me in a rather unfriendly tone but Lauren was amazing with my wax. She took her time but was also thorough (using tweezers and additional wax to clean up) and quite painless. She's was very sweet and down to earth and really did a wonderful job. Price was a bit high but well worth it for great service and technique. Although I'm not from here I would definitely come back.

Pros: Awesome technique, painless, thorough

Cons: Receptionists not the friendliest, price

Best Salon in Phoenix!. This salon is by far the best salon I have ever been to. I've been coming here for years and don't plan on straying. Stephanie is the best stylist! She does beautiful colors and cuts that always receive compliments. I have sent some friends over to her and they love her too! Although I mainly just do hair here, I have also had a great experience getting my brows done and unlike some previous comments below, I think this establishment is always clean and by no means "trashy". I completely disagree with that...this is an upscale full-service salon. I would highly recommend trying this place out. :)

The Best Esthetician. Ginger Lee is the best esthetician that I have been to. It is hard to find an esthetician who does full budy waxing on guys and nobody is better than Ginger. I strongly recommend her. She is professional, nice and really good.

Nothing to"Wow" a girl!. I'm in search of a new salon and in my attempts to find one I gave Salon Surreal a try. What a lackluster experience! I pulled into the center where it is tucked away in a back corner next to an empty restaurant and a bunch of other unoccupied store fronts. I stood at the front desk waiting to be checked in while both receptionists sat with their backs to me looking at their phones and chatting away. Finally the dark haired receptionist with glasses turned around and without any greeting snapped, "Who are you here for?" I must say it was a welcome greeting pleasant enough for the DMV. I managed to find a glass of water and the restrooms on my own. Scoping out the place on the way back to the waiting area I would describe it as a maze of garage sale type decor. Maybe an attempt at an ecclectic design. Kinda old, kinda dirty, and not relaxing with the low roar of gossipy stylist wearing torn up jeans and shorts with flip-flops. My stylist was pleasant and gave me a nice scalp massage with the shampoo. Overall my haircut was what I asked for. A simple trim, but really I recieved no feedback from my stylist when I asked if she had any suggestions for adding some body to my hair. Basically the cut was cheap and so was the atmosphere. I thought that a Four and a half star rating on Citysearch would deliver more than a rude receptionist and a trashy salon. This salon really offers nothing to "Wow" a girl!

Dirty Salon. I have been to many salons in Phoenix and I was truly disappointed by this one. The receptionist was busy gossiping with another stylist when I walked in. I used the restroom which was the cleanest part of this establishment. I made an appt. for a profession spray tan with Kari. The spray tan room which I was taken to was a complete joke. It was way too small for the girl to even spray me comfortably. It had stains all over the place, it was dirty and smelled horrible. I felt sorry for the girl who was spraying me because she was so embarrassed and told me the Manager wouldn't change the room even though she had repeated requested it. I could not believe that a salon would even offer a service in such a disgusting room. I wanted to leave but I really needed the spray tan so I didn't run out. If you want to go to a dirty salon this one is for you. The rest of the salon was busy but I don't think I would ever go back there for any service. Its way to crowded and cluttered for my taste.
