Best Mexican Food for the value.. I am a native to Phoenix, and believe I have tried them all. If you compare the atmosphere, quality and quantity of the food, price, wait for a table and or seating capacity, then shop no more. Carlos O'briens has it all! This place has a nice sports bar seperate from the resteraunt, and has the best chipssalsa you'll ever put in your mouth! I have experienced just about everything on the menu and have never been dissapointed. True...the service can be somewhat slow at times due to peak times of the day, however that happens anywhere you eat and cannot be fault of the staff. There are lunch and dinner specials to choose from, and the servings are huge!! You will take home a doggie-bag. Highly Recommended!…

Great AZ Style Mexican!. My 1st "Carlos" experience was over 25 yrs ago. We would wait a couple hours for a table. 25 yrs later, I still love it - thankfully it's bigger now & the wait not so bad! Go for the "Little Bit of Everything" plate, Mexican Pizza, or chimis. Huge servings! The only downside is since Sean isn't there to oversee like he used to, service can be sluggish - but chill! Chips & salsa are great & worth the wait!! Quick service between 1:00-5:00 pm. If you love Tex Mex, probably not for you.…

Wonderful!. Every time I come back home, I HAVE to eat here!!! I've eaten at many Mexican restaurants and this is by far the best! The Margaritas, the chimichangas, you name it, it's all excellent. Location. I will say that the last time I went home, they had opened a new location and the the food and service was not so hot. But the Original on I think it's 16th st. Has always been my first choice. If you havent tried that one, I suggest it.…
