In Short – Nestled near the foot of Camelback Mountain in the old Arcadia District of Phoenix, Shemer Art Center is an authentic Santa Fe Mission-style adobe home. This sprawling historical landmark (constructed between 1919 and 1928) is reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century Mexican hacienda. Shemer's intimate galleries give much-needed space to emerging local artists, though it does exhibit the work of some nationally recognized artists as well.
