It's A Sales Pitch...Nothing More
by abcdwxyz2010
After seeing this man on television for many years I decided to call because I am at a point in my life...well, I win't go into details. Was transferred to voicemail when I first called saying they were too busy. I have been unemployed for 4 months and was on a phone call (on hold) with a potential employer when another call came in. I did not recognize the number and thought it might also be about a job. It was, however, a woman who worked for Meranto. When I briefly explained I couldn't take her call at the moment (employment call) and could she call back later she said, in a condescending tone, "well good luck with that" and hung up. I never heard from her or the Meranto organization again.
If they truly were in the business of helping people I would have been called back but hearing I was unemployed they weren't interested in talking to me since it was obvious from the initial phone call that I probably couldn't afford their "program." Since then I have read many others online who have exposed this man for what he really is...a Bible thumping snake oil salesman! Of course one of Sam's loyal followers will post something after this saying how I am possessed by demons and that I'm weak and Sam is a genius and a visionary and was chosen by God to help people. Nothing could be further from the truth and my only weakness was calling this fraud to begin with!
- Pros: None That I Can See
- Cons: He's A Fraud
A 100% let down
by TimLinton
I went to see this guy because of pain I have been in for a while now. I have tried everything and thought that I should try this out. What could it hurt? Right?
I walk in with my grandpa and we are greeted by a very nice lady who was seemed to honestly try to be helping me.
We go into an office and we watch a video with Sam Meranto on it, sitting at a desk. It was taped in 2005. Very lame. The video has a bunch of different testimonials and all these claims of losing weight and curing their cancer.
After words we go into a hippie den with black lights, fog, and forest background music. Me and my grandpa sit in these big recliners to listen to a 45 minute demo tape.
It was full of stories about how Sam Meranto has helped famous people such as the Bush's (former president) family and a baseball player for the AZ Diamondbacks. Half way through this tape Sam says "The reason you are here today is because god has lead you hear, and if you leave here today not wanting the help I am offering, it is the work of the devil".
I was pretty angry after that was said, but I kept going with this because of the large amount of positive results.
After the demo tape, we go back into the waiting room and we are greeted by a couple who claim to have been with this program for 30+ years. They work their now I guess.
After this we go back into that office to speak to the deal closer guy; the sales man.
He starts off with a couple videos of testimonials of people claiming that their Diabetic Neuropathy is gone and how this other women lost 150 pounds (like i care about weight loss. I am in there for the pain "cure")
After those, he asks me "Do you believe in god". I politely told him that I do not feel comfortable discussing my beliefs with other people who I do not know. He would not let up on the question. I had to explain to him about what I have gone through in my life to make me believe the things I do, I then become very angry with him and he finally gave up on the question. He went on with a couple more testimonials in this book he had on the desk. One about a guy who had a skin graft or something.
Some background on me for the rest of this to make sense (for the sake of the review).
I am a very analytical person about everything I do and read about. Because of what I have been through, I have to be or else I can get medications mixed up or not understand a procedure that is being performed on me with my doctors. It's just how my brain works, and anyone should be able to understand that,
Anyway, he starts saying how I look into these things too much and how I have to "change the way I think" and "not analyze things so much" and that I had to "take my analytical thinking cap off". Which made me angry because I wasn't looking for cult mentality. I am an individual and that is how I like it. I don't want to think the same way other people do just because this guy tells me I have to.
He can tell that I am becoming very angry with him. So he decides to flash the $2000/y price tag at me. I mean, seriously, what the hell makes him think an incoming college student has 2 grand to just drop on some CD's!
After we said that we are going to have to think about it. He looks at me and says "You know what Tim. When you decide to take the smart path in life. Come back and see us".
At that moment I said "You know what. We are leaving now". As my grandpa and I were leaving, the sales man gets up, slams his book closed, and when we leave his office, he slams his office door closed seemingly as hard as he could. He was angry at me and my grandpa because we would not feed into his degrading little mind games.
This whole process completely angered the hell out of me and my grandpa off. We will never go back and I will never ever give any form of positive referral to this hell hole.
- Pros: I was so angry when I walked out, I was no longer in pain
- Cons: I can't rate lower than a 1 star
Have not met Sam yet Part 3
by SickNeedHelp
To the others whose reviews I read also: so Sam dresses nicely. So what? That is a sign of good mental health and physical health. People who do not care about how they look and their personal hygiene are not healthy. I know from my own life experience. My quest for perfection and beauty, leads me to self-inflicted facial excoriation. I cut and scape at my own face to remove imaginary imperfections and blemishes. Yes, I am sick and need help. I know this. I believe Mr. Meranto maybe the man God has put in my path to help me. Besides, would you trust a professional who was slovenly and smelled of poor hygiene. It sounds like you do not trust people who success you envy.
Further, who can prove the fancy cars were his? Do you think he was driving both simultaneously to work? Get realistic, not jealous. They could have belonged to his clients. Most business owners, doctors, dentists and lawyers have private parking spaces and I am sure you are aware of that.
To be healed to first have to be realistic about your health. You have to accept that you are ill and need help. Secondly you have to be willing to seek out help. Third, you have to have faith that the treatment will work, even if it comes from unconventional means.
If you want to be well, put your thoughts and actions into positivitiy: believing you can be healed. Do not waste your time in negativity by trying to tear down Sam Meranto. Remember God is always in control of the Universe and if Sam Meranto is the fake, con man and charlatan some believe him to be, then God will take control of the situation. It is not your job.
As for me, no, as I said I have not met Sam yet. Nevertheless, I have faith and belief that I can be cured and my thoughts and actions on on finding a way to get his help.
- Pros: his good reputation
- Cons: my lack of funds
