Sorry, the place has feel of a bad bar.
This is one of those places that would have benefited
from "Tabitha's" takeover. It feels dungeon like
and the owner and hairdressers carry on like
its a screaming match. The music is real loud and
they scream as they socialize with one another rather
than direct all their attention to the client. Afterall if
you charge highend prices Owner should look at
what he's providing. The customer is paying for that
pocket of time. In this case its not worth it.
Inconsistent results, lots of waiting. I have been a client of Salon Sandoval for years, although the overall experience has always left a lot to be desired. I have continued to be a client because Chris Sandoval is a GENIUS with color - however, his bad haircuts and his lack of customer service makes the high prices he charges unreasonable. A typical trip to Salon Sandoval goes like this: Chris will apply the color in your hair, and then will leave you to sit while he attends to 2 or 3 other client's hair. I know this is common practice in a busy salon, but you will wait and wait until you start wondering if Chris has forgotten all about you. You start worrying that the chemicals are damaging your hair by leaving them on so long. There have been several instances that I have actually read an entire magazine cover to cover while waiting for Chris. Once an assistant FINALLY washes the chemicals from your hair, Chris will start cutting. He is easily distracted from what he is doing. He often walks away from you right in the middle of your haircut to socialize! When he returns, he starts cutting a completely different section of your hair, and you are left to wonder if he was finished with the section he was cutting before he walked away, or if he is too distracted to remember what he was doing. Usually 3+ hours since the time you walked in, the end result is just ok. You end up paying $70.00 for a haircut that really is just a trim. He doesn't cut a "style" into your hair. The color usually turns out nice- but it won't be the same every time. Chris uses a different method every time he colors your hair - it seems to depend on his mood and if he feels like putting in the effort. When he does, the color is amazing. Last time I went to Chris, my cut and color were both awful. I'm so fed up with the whole experience, that Chris Sandoval has finally lost my business. I know several people who have stopped going to Salon Sandoval for the exact same reasons, which is why I decided to post this review.
bad hair cut. don't be fooled by the comment above this place (Shea and scottsdale road) is not that great, the hair stylists are not that experienced the guy joel who gave me my hair cut didn't seem to know what he was doing, I think I would have gotten a better hair cut at cost cutters.
amazing. The best service I have ever had. This place exudes creativity, It feels real. No snobbiness, just people that want to make you feel beautiful. edgy, creative and fun! Somthing that is hard is to find in phoenix. Love it!!!!!
