Younger sibling to the grand old Adobe course, this collection of bunkered and countoured greens is fresh and exciting. – In Short
Built in 1978 by Phoenix architect Bill Johnston, designer of the nearby Pointe Golf Club, the Links is primarily desert golf with one big exception: It's not a typical target golf course because there is grass from tee to green and a lack of transition areas. Tucked under Squaw Peak, with Camelback Mountain in the distance, the signature hole, the 185-yard 15th features a drop of approximately 75 feet from tee to green. Almost as good is the 17th hole, a long par 4 that features the Phoenix city skyline in the background.
