comments not from clients
by arethalevay
I have read all the reviews and did some investigation to find that all the flowery comments were placed by CTC. These were not the comments of clients. Nonetheless, the internet is a useful tool but can be and is misused by many persons. Companies such as CTC are providing services and it is a shame that they and companies such as they have to defend themselves against comments by individuals who won't take responsibility for their own actions.
Beware!

I contacted CTC four days ago (I am writing this in December 2008). I was asked to e-mail my resume directly to Julie at the address she provided, which I did. I had been told that my resume would be forwarded to a career counselor and that I could expect to hear from someone by early afternoon the next day.
It is now midday on the third day after I initially contacted CTC. I just got off the phone with Julie. I explained that I was calling to follow up because I had not heard anything after submitting my resume several days earlier. Julie told me, quite curtly, that she didn't know what happened to my resume and why didn't I go ahead and send it directly to her this time. I explained to her that I had sent it directly to her last time. She said she must have forwarded it on then and she had no idea why I hadn't been contacted. I could either resend my resume or wait for someone to contact me. She said they were busy and she abruptly hung up. I called back and asked to speak with Rick Davis. She told me he was in a meeting. I asked to speak with someone in authority. She said that would be Rick Davis and since he was her father she had full control anyway. I asked her to have him return my call. She said okay and hung up on me again. I called back and asked her how he would call me if he didn't have my phone number. She said she was going to look for my resume and give it to him. And then she told me she didn't appreciate my questions or my attitude and she hung up on me again.
I did not find Julie to be a shining example of customer service. If this is how prospective, paying clients are treated, how do they treat employers that may have positions for their clients? Personally, I am unwilling to pay a fee of any amount, much less several thousand dollars, to be treated so disrespectfully. And, be careful to note that this isn't just a wayward employee. This is the owner's daughter. Fruit doesn't fall far from the tree.
Best career help for me at the time
