Che Bella means "how pretty!"--which is probably what you'll say when you see this popular Italian restaurant's new look..
The Scene
Having moved from the considerably larger (and former) Oscar Taylor location to the considerably smaller (and former) Nola's location, Che Bella has downsized a bit and seems both more charming and dramatic for it. The rectangular bar, parked in the middle of the room and flanked by stone columns that bring Chichen Itza to mind, is a great place to drink wine, eat pizza and do a little people watching.
The Food
Although the menu's been tweaked a bit, you can expect to find the same contemporary Italian food faves you grew to know and love at the old place: antipasto, gnocchi, fried polenta and portobello mushrooms, good bread, fresh pastas and homemade desserts. If you're in a frivolous mood, check out the "spaghetti and meatballs" finale--good for kids and kids at heart.
