Good stuff. My wife and I have always enjoyed this restaurant. Good food and reasonable prices. Love the chicken burrito and margaritas.

Terrible Operations. I know Manuel's has been in the valley a long time but the owner, apparently the son of the original owner is a terrible restauranteur. Just because you are born into the family business does not mean you know how to run it. His manager staff at the Indian School location is very unprofessional. One manager walks around with tobacco in his lip

served raw chicken. we have eaten at Manuels many times, and the food is good, but we had a really bad experience at lunch. We were served one of their specialties, the pollo especial. The chicken was not just undercooked, there was RAW chicken in the burrito. When we told the waiter he gave a half hearted apology, and took that meal off the check. No manager or anyone took it seriously. No manager even came over to let us know how sorry he was. The guy that was at the cashier station asked how everything was when we were paying, and we told him about the raw chicken. He thought we were joking, and when he saw we were serious, he gave the same kindd of half hearted apology. If anybody in that restaurant would have showed us that they were concerned about the raw chicken being served, we would give them another chance. But Phoenix has plenty of good Mexican restaurants, so we will drive a few blocks down the street and go to Teepee.

Best Cheese Crisp In The Valley. The cheese crisp. What a simple item. It is essentially a large homemade tortilla with cheddar and jack cheese on top, baked in high heat until melted. Manuel's does the cheese crisp probably better than any other restaurant in the valley. Get it extra crispy. This is comfort food at it's best. And if you are still hungry after your crisp, Manuel's has combination plates that are large enough to feed you for the rest of the week. Everybody walks out with a to go box at Manuel's.
