LUKE'S IS THE BOMB!. LUKE'S IS THE BOMB...IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE BEST CHICAGO STYLE FOOD IN PHOENIX... THIS IS WHERE IT IS AT! I BELIEVE THAT IT WAS EVEN RATED "BEST OF PHOENIX" AND ANYONE WHO IS ANYONE KNOWS IT...I KNOW THIS CLEARLY BECAUSE I EAT THERE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK AND THEIR GREEN PEPPER ARE ALWAYS FIRM, THE MUSTARD IS SPICY, AND THE FRIES ARE ALWAYS PERKY JUST AS THEY ARE IN CHICAGO! I OUGHT TO KNOW BECAUSE I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN CHICAGO! ANYONE ELSE JUST DOESN'T HAVE A PROPER POINT OF REFERENCE...OH WELL, THEIR LOSS!

Why did they ruin a good place. If someone had asked me a few months ago where to get the best Italian beef or sausage in Phoenix, I would have directed them to Lukes on Indian School & 16th Street. But things have changed. I typically try to stop in every 2 weeks or so & the last 5 trips have been pretty bad. The beef which used to be great is more of a beef scrap, the bell peppers (which you used to get a lot of) has been reduced to a few meager strips of over stewed goo. I kept returning because I thought it was just a one time accident. I dont know if the place was sold recently or the owners are planning on selling that corner soon, but write this place off.
