Great Family Place. Well, I have been going to Mi Patio for years and have found the owners and staff to be nothing short of wonderful. I highly doubt that, in this largely gay/lesbian neighborhood, Mi Patio would remain open for long if they truly are prejudice. As for me, I'd rather not watch any couple making out while I'm trying to enjoy my meal - no matter what that couple's sexual preference. If you want to make out, get a room - not a table at this very family-oriented local favorite. PS the machaca beef is excellente!
I will NEVER Go Again.... The other night, I was having a wonderful evening when there was a loud interruption. A lesbian couple had been asked to leave the restaurant by the owner after kissing. The restaurant owners and workers were prejudice and quite rude. I do not appreciate this and hope that they will change how they run things in the future.
The best spinach enchilada I have ever tasted!. I love Mi Patio! Not fancy, but friendly, inexpensive and wonderful food. The Service is great - prompt, friendly and professional. The margaritas are big and cheap! What's not to like? This is not formal dining, but when I go for Mexican food, I don't want formal dining! The combination of Mexican/Greek is a natural and definately works!! I hope they are around as long as I am.
Lack of consideration for vegetarians. The whole place smelled really bad and the tortilla chips taste stale and have a weird smell too. I was told that they have good vegetarian food, but I found a big chunk of boiled chicken hidden under the rice on my veggie plate. When asked, the owner of the place said that it happens sometimes, but not too often because of the busy kitchen!! Well guess what, they can always choose to tell the servers to be more careful. I cannot believe the the casual attitude they have towards customers' food preferences.
u'll luv it.

GREAT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. We found this great Mexican Restaurant on our first visit to Phoenix in 1995 - and have been coming back ever since. We moved to Phoenix in 2004 and have made Mi Patio a regular part of our lives here in Phoenix. If you want authentic, delicious, inexpensive and large-portioned food - Mi Patio is youer place, too!
An Old Friend. Hot, inexpensive Mexican food in unpretentious surroundings. Understated but responsive waiters; any mistakes are promptly corrected. Friendly host/owner. Menu has all the standards plus a few spinach/feta dishes. Sounds Greek to me ; ) Undersized main room very casual - you'll feel fine in shorts and t-shirt. For relative intimacy, try the cozy nook in back. Dont visit to impress hard to please guests. Mi Patio is more like an old friend: reliable, decent, without any airs.
cheap and good do go together.... A couple of friends recommended Mi Patio and they were absolutely right. When you feel like a good burrito beans and rice, this is the place to go. The service is always good and their food is awesome! I have become a creature of habit and order the baja chicken burro every time! The best part...it is not expensive! It is good wholesome mexican food!
An Undiscovered Treasure. Mi Patio is a small unknown restuarant that more poeple should know about. The servers are always friendly and promt. I have tried many differnet dishes and everyone has been excellent. I would recommend the Baja Chicken Burro. You always get a lot of food for a great price.
