Phoenix >China Chili
POOP. the dirty nasty freaky people at chili china gave me explosive diaherra, leaving my butthole burning for 5 days. i wouldnt recommend it.
Never did find the place. I had great expectations for this place, but in mid July, after arriving on the light rail to the Osborne stop, we started walking. Google showed it just north of Osborne so we walked, we walked further north, we walked east... we finally ate a Blimpies. Not bad, but typical Blimpies. We wanted Chinese food. After arriving back home, and doing some additional Google research, I discovered that they are now located at 302 E Flower St - nearly half a mile from where City Search said they were. I could have researched it better, but it's up to the restaurant to make sure that their listings are correct.
China Chili rocks central Phoenix. China Chili is my favorite chinese food outside of Manhattan or San Fransisco. The staff is very friendly, the service is perfect and they have the best "salt and pepper calamari" I've ever tasted. It's always tender and crisp and never greasy or tough. It doesn't sound like it would knock your socks off, but I promise it will. My one complaint is that there are not enough vegtables in the "meat " dishes like in NY. My kids love the orange chicken, which is a bit spicy, but perfect for them as there are no veggies in it, only tender white meat chicken fried and sliced. The Chow fun with shrimp is a crowd pleaser too. Don't forget to try the schewan green beans and ask about any other in season veggie specials. The staff calls me and my family by name and it is a delight to go there and feel like you're family.
so so chinese food. Food is fair service is great; Not the best in Phoenix in my opinion. I would not eat here again i found a better place to go. I am a fast food junkie and like to taste around for better tasting foods and sure enough i have found a replacement.
Midtown lunch crowd treated to affordable, no-fuss Chinese gourmet..
China Chili is a cut-to-the chase Chinese restaurant that caters to the midtown lunch crowd. Stop in for savory Chinese food at dirt-cheap prices in between meetings. Try the hot braised flounder, kung pao calamari or honey walnut prawns.
Best in Phoenix. Food is excellent considering the moderate price. While the decor will win no awards, the service and food are by far the best chinese in Phoenix
Relief from Corporate Menus. China Chili is an example where the decor is spared in favor of top quality dishes. The flavors are fabulous and better yet, one does not need to inspect each bite in fear of biting into something scary. The food is great and so is the service. I highly recommend China Chili - especially if you are trying to stay away from the chain restaurants - yikes! This place rules!
