Wonderfull Experience.
We went to Ihop on the first morning of our trip, then the next day we went to the Good Egg. We were sooo impressed. The food was awesome. They have outdoor dining and it was such a relaxing breakfast. We took our 4 yr old and our 4 mo old and we were completly comfortable. My 4 yr old actually ate almost all her food, which is a rarity.
There was just enough service to keep us happy and let us enjoy our breakfast. We will definatly go there again.
The GOOD EGG - on Central.
There is ALWAYS a LONG wait on Sundays. It is always noisy inside & it's usually verm warm!
The prices are too high for the small amount of food you get. The food is usually lukewarm to cold. The water tastes like sink water.
The only thing that I liked was the friendly service! They are always smiling & very nice!
I also liked the fact that it was all non-smoking.
It's just too bad that everything else is wrong.
You can get a much better breakfast at IHOP!
Bad customer sercice. This location is not good at all. I've been to other "Good Egg's" and have had much better service. The employees don't seem interested in the customers. When I was there, the wait for a table was awful. I don't plan on visiting this location ever again.
The Good Egg. I think the Good Egg is given a good reputation for the main fact that they are easily accessible. They have a captive audience. The place is always packed, the prices are pretty high for the amount of seating and waiting times, and it is hard to find parking. In my opinion, their location right next to Starbucks is more of what makes them popular than the food, ambience, or service. Located near downtown and really visible from Central Avenue, the yuppy type business people from downtown who have work hours that allow them to go "hide out" somewhere and have long luch breaks frequent that restaurant. It is almost like an event for the pretentious than an eating experience. Then, several of the patrons sit at their table talking for an hour after they eat. The restaurant should encourage people to move on.
great breakfast!. Food was very fresh and tasty. Great fluffy pancakes, eggs were cooked axactly how I ordered them and the service was fast and friendly.
flat. The food was O.K. They try and do too much. The pancakes were bland and dry!
superb eating. very clean restaurants, fast efficient, friendly service...........a real pleasure to eat here
Yummi!!!. I love The Good Egg. It's like gramma's breakfast.... Fluffy pancakes and eggs. Fresh OJ. Well... everything is good there!! :)
The BAD Egg. This place is AWFUL. Service is bad, every piece of silverware and glassware was dirty. Everything tasted like a salt lick. How can you specialize in egg dishes and not know Eggs Benedict comes with Canadian bacon, not ham?? Avoid this place!
Bad egg. It was tastless, food, not for the health concious nor for those on special diets.
