New owners.
Jackson's on 3rd has had very bad reviews. It is under new ownership.
Stop in and give it a chance b4 and after the games.
Wanna get shot. very bad place to be unless you want to get shot at buy a bunch of idiots who dont give a sh?? about peoples lives what losers .Even though cops are everywhere you can still manage to get hurt there stay far away and really the place should be DESTROYED.
Depressing.
I went to Jackson's on 3rd before a D-Backs' game last week, and it was not just bad, it was depressing.
As another reviewer noted, what used to be the "place to be" before games is now a poorly run, and poorly staffed, half-empty warehouse. The place apparently went out of business after the 2008 season, and someone bought it just before the start of the 2009 season, presumably figuring that they could just open the doors and make some quick cash. It was obvious they didn't put a penny into the place, and it honestly looked like it might shut down any minute Most of the lights were off (or not working), it was about 90 degrees inside the place, I didn't see any waitresses, and the menu consisted of a photocopied sheet with 5 or 6 things on it. My buddy was starving, and he convinced me to order nachos (how could they screw that up?), and it was, without a doubt, the worst bar food I've ever had. We actually laughed when they brought it out.
The place really is a depressing sign of these economic times What used to be a "happening", pre-game place is now a big, hot, pathetic shell of its former self. Oh, and if you happen to go there (and I don't know why you would), bring cash. They don't take credit cards.
Gone downhill. This used to be the place to go before a game, no longer. We went in just before a game and found the ac out, hey that happens, but all but two ceiling fans were working. One of the fans had the braket handing by some wires, looking very unsafe. We were told they have been out for quite some time. Since it was 112 outside, we suggested they close some of the doors and let it cool down, they said they would not do that. Several tvs were not working and or missing from the bracket with the wires hanging loose. Those that did work had a local news channel on instead of a sports game. Only one tv had the game on. We were greated by the bartender and order a $12.00 pitcher of beer, understandable when the place was upscale, but very high when it was hot and no abiance. Wife went to the bathroom and found it to be very unsanitary, no soap or towels, yuck. Used to be able to order from a full kitchen menu, now they offer a brat, hamburger or chicken sandwhich, of which is in the patio, so out to the 112 degree day to get something to eat. Since we did not see a waitress, we ordered the beer from the bar a chose a dirty table. Once the waitress came around, we apologized stating we did not know there was a waitress. Guess that made here mad, because she went to both tables on either side for the next hour and waited on them, but not us. An hour after we came, we finally gave up and left. This place is no longer worthy of it's previous ranking, they have let it go. Can't see paing the high price for a dump.
AMAZING EXPERIANCE!!!!. OK SO ITS LIKE THIS.....EVERYONE GOES TO THESE HIGH PRICED FANCY CLUBS, I MEAN YEAH THERE LOTS OF FUN BUT....THE QUESTION IS DO THEY HAVE A GREAT BEER TUB GIRL THERE??? BECAUSE ALOT OF TIMES NOBODY WANTS TO WAIT SO LONG AT THE BARS SO THIS IS IMPORTANT PEOPLE! I MEAN YA IN SCOTTSDALE THEY HAVE GOOD LOOKIN WOMEN OR WHAT NOT BUT THERE SO STUCK UP THAT THEY DONT GIVE YOU THE TIME A DAY AND THEY CAN BE KINDA RUDE! AT JACKSONS ON THE OTHER HAND EVEN ALL MY BUDDIES AGREE THAT THE BEER TUB GIRL IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LITTLE THING WE HAVE SEEN AT A CLUB...BUT BESIDES LOOKS SHE IS THE BIGGEST SWEETHEART AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD A COMPLAINT ABOUT HERE EVERYONE VERY WELL ENJOYS HER SO THATS THAT!!!! The bartenders are great as well, over all its a fantastic experiance, its a great meeting people place security always has everything under control so mad props to you guys!!!! EVERYONE GO TO JACKSON'S ON 3RD ON SATURDAYS TRUST ME U WILL HAVE A BLAST!!!
Beer before the game. Jackson's is a great spot to grab that last beer before you go into the game, just do not eat there. Food quality is poor and menu is boring. Typical bar food pulled from the freezer and dropped in the deep fryer. Cold beer and hot beer tub girls are not enough. They need a chef that can cook!!!
It's three clubs in one, with a huge patio and more than 50 TVs to draw sports fans..
In Short
Jackson's is a sports bar, nightclub and live music venue all in one. It's situated in the heart of Valley sports action, just down the street from Chase Field and across from US Airways Center. The walls are covered with murals of local sports heroes. It's also home to Club 245, where patrons can dance till closing time; another room has a stage for live music. Four bars serve beer and blended drinks, with 28 beers on tap, and the menu features pasta, sandwiches, pizza and more.
If Only There Was Service To Speak Of.
I went into Jackson's on 9/22 at 4pm. At 4:10pm, I walked out WITHOUT being served. The bartender was too busy visiting with employees on the other side of the bar to serve me. He walked by me twice. Once to ask the people next to me if their food was good. The other time to bum a cigarette from the same people. The place was virtually empty.
I've been in Jackson's a dozen times in the last year. In fact, I was there earlier in the week. The service has always been good, even when it was busy.
The only way I'll go back is if they fire that bartender.
I'll Drink To That !!!. If you know then you know... When you are anywhere downtown around the Bob or other destinations and you get thirsty or want to party with the best then you must stop at Jackson's on 3rd because they really make you feel at home... I love it there and I would like to move in as soon as there is an opening...
Oh what a night, watching the Diamondbac. Could you get more coverage on the T.Vs? Great place to drink great beer with friend especially if you are working downtown and want to avoid the rush hours home. Stop in and have a cerveca!
