customer service stinks – last friday after a long day at work me and 6 of my coworkers , and after a couple of weeks of looking for this place, and for time to go and have a drink, had the chance to enjoy the afternoon, it was going a be the first time for all of us at coopers place, actually I recommended it.Great fan of the schools out master ,I was prepared for an excellent friday afternoon , and the possibility of catching one of my great idols performing in vivo.Being new to the place we sat in one of the tables, the place was empty ,after a while since nobody attended us, we decided to go to the bar and get our drinks, came back to our table ,and before i had the chance to sip to my beer, a server came and told us, in a very demanding and unpolite way, that the tables were for food ordering customers only, when he was asked where can we seat, he said at the bar, we responded that our idea was to be together, and the bar did no guive that chance, his answer was ,well you can not stay, and he left , a couple of minutes later, came back and we requested the menu, he refused , adding that we could not stay. All this time we were just frustrated and confused about his attitud, we were also mad but nobody made any escene, nobody yelled, myself I just got up left my beer on the table and recomended to leave inmediatly. One of my friends asked for the manager, somebody came and at that point I was walking out of the place just by myself. Things got a little better and the server came back with menus (thanks to the manager). he was forced to do that becouse it was impossible for him to hide that fact. The server had the chance to fix all this mess by just coming back and offering an apology, and be mature enough to accept that he had made a mistake , that alone would have been enough to erase the last 20 minutes out of my memory, and the afternoon could have ended the way we planned. He had no guts to do that.Got up again and I said, we must leave.
Rock-and-roll memorabilia, occasional live music and a staff made up like Alice. – In Short
Located up the street from Chase Field and US Airways Center, this former furniture warehouse is ideally located for Phoenix sports mania. Live music on the outdoor stage ties in with game nights and larger-than-life video screens electrify the bar. The Alice connection comes in the form of memorabilia displays and the Cooper-esque eye makeup worn by the staff, male and female. Cooper's town is known for its margaritas, especially Sammy Hagar's Waborita.
Coop can cook!! – Sure Alice has ice cold beer and huge screens for sports. There is no better place than Cooperstown to watch sporting events, especially the NFL. They have 6 monster screens and TV's all over the place. But beleive it or not, the food is the real star. The food quality and price points are great. The menu is varied from great snacks to sandwiches to desserts, not to mention the award winning BBQ. Hands down best pulled pork and St. Louis Ribs in town, maybe in the country. Keep rocking Alice.
Great combo of sports and music – This place is good for anyone who is a fan of music or sports and heaven for fans of both. Alice has a nice mixture of music and sports memoribilia. Great menu and portions available.
Always great – I've been to this spot three times now and it has always been excellent. The sports crowd will have a party! I would rather watch the Suns or Diamondbacks at Alice's than go to the stadium anyday of the week. The barbecue is better here than any BBQ joint in the city! The desserts are huge and decadent! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good time in PHX!!
Rockin! – Yes, Cooperstown has the good food, sparts bar atmosphere, but it is worth mentioning the efforts made to support the local music scene. Local bands are showcased on first Fridays, it is a great opportunity to catch some awesome music for free...not to mention supporting local bands that have the talent to make it!
BBQ FEAST – This place has some of the best St. Louis Pork Ribs I've tasted. Just order the BBQ Feast for two and you have enough to feed three. You get generous portions of Pulled Pork, brisket, chicken & so on...
Don't forget to wash this down with "Poison Pale Ale". It's brewed locally by Four Peaks.
Afterwards go to bar & burn a stoggie!!
Remember the Coop! – Cooperstown is always a fun place to hang out --- what can you say about a place that has Rhino's jersey hanging on the wall, Dave Mustaine's fractured guitar and Fleetwood Mac's pics as well? I still haven't seen Alice in person since the Christmas concert at New Haven Colliseum when Alice and the band beat St. Nick up on the encore number under the blacklight Christmas tree.
Hello, Hooray ... let the show begin ... I'm always ready! Go for the burgers. ghretz
#1 of my 2 favorites! – The menu is so complete. You gotta love a guy who puts mom's tuna cassarole on there. Which by the way I love!
A rock and roll hall of fame gem!
I take all my friends and out of state visitors here!
Everything on the menu is fabulous, the prices are great, the setting is great, the live entertainment is great.
You just can't go wrong with this place!
Alice..... We love you!!!
HOME OF THE BIG UNIT!!!! – Ate lunch here many days while working in Phoenix in 2000, Great Food and Service, best Cole Slaw I have ever ate.
Alice you should open a Cooper'stown in Evansville Indiana, would go over GREAT!
