A relaxing place to enjoy a really good meal. The atmosphere in the seating area favors a measure of intimacy and on-going conservation. Not too dimly lighted so as to make menu reading difficult but certainly not Broadway. The wait staff is friendly and they make every effort to insure that your dining experience is a pleasant one. The menu has just enough diversity so that you keep coming back but it's not so large or convoluted that making a choice becomes a chore or undesired expense. They make an excellent thin crust personal pizza and their freshly-fried potato chips, Thai chicken skewers and fried calamari appetizers are nothing short of superb. The burgers are delicious as are the salmon, crab cake, grilled meatloaf and prime rib dinner entrees. Salad entrees are plentiful as well. And yes, in case you're not having wine or are simply tired of drinking cola, they serve Pellegrino by the large bottle. Their Sunday brunch menu is relatively short but the Eggs Benedict in particular are very nicely done and presented, accompanied by a generous pile of very tasty potato chunks. So, if you're looking for a reasonably priced sit-down restaurant with a bit of atmosphere and privacy as well as good food and service, try the Village Tavern in the Gainey Shopping Center on Scottsdale Road. They do accept reservations and from what I have seen, can accommodate fairly large groups.

Better than I expected!. I have been to the Tavern twice after doing other fun (but draining) business at the bridal salon at Gainey...once after a long day of bridal shopping and again after alterations. I needed a salad and a glass of wine or two. I came back the second time because the atmosphere was peaceful and slightly dark, which I like. Both times our waiter has been very nice and has not looked down on my wearing denim. Unfortunately, the bread is very good. If you are cutting your carbs, ask not to get it or you will not be able to control yourself.

Expansive Gainey Village eatery features a rustic open dining room and American menu.. In Short
Located on the south corner of the The Shops at Gainey Village, this large space includes a lounge and bar adjacent to a rustic open dining room with rich wood beams and a stone fireplace. This North Carolina-based chain features an American menu of pork chops, steak, fish, wood-fired pizzas and more. Eggs Benedict, Belgian waffles and five varieties of omelets headline this favored brunch spot.

Best Seafood, Prime Rib and Filets in Beautiful Gainey Village Scottsdale. Wow! An atmosphere that allows for great conversation, excellent food and supurb service. I was able to seat my family one weekend and then my friends the next. I challenge you to not be afraid to try their extensive wine list and large spirit inventory as well, try with the lunch, dinner or just catching a football game. Expect to feel very warm and comfortable while eating, this is not a place to feel stuffy or rushed at. Enjoy the great bar area after dinner with either lounge or bar seating for a variety of tastes with a very social atmosphere on the weekends.
