In Short – This spartan sushi bar focuses on food, not fashion. But that's only because chef-owner Shini Kurita, an old-school kind of guy who remains interested in quality, composition and authenticity. Mozart plays in the background while Kurita remains focused. Forget Americanized sushi rolls, the Shinbay dinner (which starts at $38 per person) is a three-course work of art including sashimi, sushi and a cooked dish of the day. It may include monkfish pate or sliver thin whitefish drizzled with olive oil.

Tired of Americanized Sushi? Then this is your place!
I love Japanese food but now feel spoiled. So much so that I find it difficult to go to any regular sushi place anymore. Try it, feel a little bit of Japanese heaven and you'll get spoiled as well

Good Authentic Japanese Food

I was told about this place by a friend. They serve good food plus they also have special menus. It be may seem a little pricey if compared to other Japanese restaurants but Shinbay is the place to be if you truly want to enjoy some authentic Japanese dishes.
