Is it Tempe culture or Yucca Culture. CHARACTER: Yucca has it's own character that can't be designed in or pasted on walls. This character has crystalized from the years of having serious alcohol conniseure's waiting in the parking lot at 6:00am. The first time college students who have found a place where everyone knows their name and don't mind if they get it wrong. All the musicians with dreams of stardom , L.A. Hollywood too much money still here living the reality of being a superstar with emptyockets, once or twice a month at the tapless wonder of a taproom.

The entertainment at the YTR is second to no other bar in tempe. Where else can you find Rednecks and hippies socializing and dancing together on the floor argueing and the bar then going home together. Bikers and businessmen riding away together on their Harley's and hondas. Deadheads and John birchers sitting elbow to elbow and agreeing on every controversial subject ever created. One of the best ways to escape the hoy arizona nights is to sit at the bar and have some nice conversation with Venus, the true heart of the establishment. The Music at the Yuc has suprised even the harshest deadheat critics in Tempe. There is a wide range of talent, professionalism' entertainment quality and an unusually diverese, fun, responsibe, crazy, mellow, rowdy group of costomers and entertainers to be found any where in the valley.

Be old, be foolish, drink happy.. In Short
It's just like dad's Legionnaire Hall minus the dues. The unlikely launching pad for The Refreshments, a local band that went national in the '90s within a year of playing a regular Sunday night gig, Yucca's calendar of events has returned to its former old-man bar hangout. Most cover bands are on the far end of their forties, and the musical timeline seems to have stopped when Pat Benetar and 38 Special roamed the charts. If that don't make you feel like a young whipper snapper, there's Yucca's assortment of arcane arcade games, and nothing can match the geriatric chic of its table shuffle board.

Best Dive bar and Local Music Place in town. There isn't a better place to get a cheap drink and hear some local musicians in town. I've always had a great time watching local bands play and hang out with their fans.

Great Place to see bands. This is the best dive bar in the Arizona. I've always had a good time here checking out local bands.

hey,the old guys here are cool. This is actually a really cool dive bar and the regulars are very cool and open minded. I have never seen anyone playing there who was at the "far end of their 40's". A closely guarded secret where some well known locals jam sometimes. the once a month wednesday thing is

very cool.
